Cattle and Calves: 597 Week Ago: 392 Year Ago: Holiday
Compared to last week: Feeder steers 3.00-8.00 higher, instances 10.00.
Feeder heifers 3.00-7.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. No comparison on the
bulls due to a weak test. Trade and demand good. Bulk supply Medium and Large
1-3 400-750 lb feeder steers. Slaughter cows made up 12 percent of the
offering, slaughter bulls less than 2 percent, replacement cows 6
percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply included 67 percent steers
and 33 percent heifers. Near 12 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Steers: Medium and Large 1: few 200-300 lbs 132.50-142.50; 300-400 lbs
117.00-125.00, few to 135.00; 400-500 lbs 112.00-121.00, few to 127.00; 500-600
