Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs were 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Ewes and
bucks traded unevenly steady. Feeder lambs sold mostly steady. Kid goats
sold steady to firm. Nanny goats traded 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Billy goats
lightly tested this week, however a weaker undertone was noted. Buyer demand
andtrading activity moderate to good on all classes today. In the sheep
supply: 70 percent feeder lambs, 10 percent slaughter lambs, 12 percent
slaughter ewes and bucks, and the balance mostly replacement stock. In the
goat supply: 56 percent kids, 33 percent nannies, with the balance being
mostly billies and wethers.
