Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Summertime on the Strip
In today's pop culture vernacular, this 1974 documentary on Jim "The Fireman" Dunn would be "Reality TV," since this is as close to the action one could get if not making the summertime drag racing tour with the Dunn Family.

The presentation keeps things briskly moving and the racing action is outstanding. It continues to hold relevance due to the historical value and - importantly - because the impeccable editing drives a true slice of Americana to the finish line....well ahead of the competition.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Funny Car Summer
Blast from the past. We saw this car many time when we ran at Orange County and it brough back many memories of friends and family. Bring back to good ol days.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A trip back in time.
This is a rather obscure video for those who want to go back in drag racing history. It's a summer with Jim Dunn and family with one of the few semi-successful rear engined Funny cars from the early 70's. It's a wonder there was ever any progress in the evolution of the class. Of note is Jim's son, Mike, who is now a color commentator on ESPN's presentation of drag racing. Mike himself had a fairly successful career in drag racing, and still helps several teams test. Caution: this video can make more "mature" fans feel real old, real quick.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Funny Car Summer
The DVD arrived fast. I had not seen this movie since I was about 10. It was great to see drag racing when the average Joe could still run a Funny Car.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - If you were there, you'll get a kick out of this
I really enjoyed this, but I'm a big Drag racing fan. It was fun to look at a snapshot of 1968 california. And if you watch NHRA drag racing, you'll really enjoy the Mike Dunn parts. It's inexpensive, and it's a part of history, I think you'll like it.
