Five Vietnam veterans -- all decorated war heroes now serving prison terms for crimes committed after being discharged from the Army -- paint a vivid picture of their personal experiences in Vietnam and the problems they faced on their return. The film skillfully interweaves the men's stories with stock footage of the war, including actual battle footage in which one of the veterans, Albert Dobbs, appears. With candor and compassion VIETNAM REQUIEM explores the grim aftermath of a war that was different from all previous wars, leaving a legacy of lost and troubled heroes. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Good Documentary about the Vietnam war and the consequencesI know Allen Dobbs. My husband was also a Vietnam veteran who died in 2000 from post traumatic stress disorder. The film deals with war and its consequences. It is not the glory it's been portrayed in most war movies, especially in the early years. Very interesting, informative and sad. War is hell.
