[acidfree:150 style=image align=left]Picture from the rear shows bare patches from rubbing. [acidfree:152 style=image align=left]Scrapie positive Suffolk ewe She had seizure like episodes and had a hard time with placing her rear feet (proprioceptive deficits) and had a shorter based stance (rear legs were closer to front legs than expected). She showed a fairly classic lip-smacking response when her back was rubbed; however, her wool looked nearly perfect and she had not shown much, if any, rubbing.
[acidfree:151 style=image align=left]Scrapie positive Montedale ewe that lost body condition and became very ataxic in the rear legs. The day of necropsy, she was very "jittery" and nearly started to seizure each time that she was touched. Held head down, possibly related to her state of unsteadiness/incoordination. The side view shows her short-based stance/hunched appearance. The dorsal spinous processes are very prominent due to her decreased body condition.
