We live in the great state of New Hampshire, My Husband and I have 3 kids, boy 17, boy 14, and girl 8. All 3 of the kids are raising and training holstein steer teams for 4-H Working Steer club. My husband logs with our belgian draft horse as well as our oldest son has done some logging with his 2 year old holstein steers. We have 1 nubian/alpine doe that we are milking for the first time this year, we also have her 2 kids (they are for sale), we have about 15 chickens and 1 rooster, 1 bunny, 2 doves, 2 dogs, an 2 cats. Our goal is to be self sufficent, we have been milking our does for almost a month now an it is great not to have to spend $8.00 a day for 2 gallons of milk at the store. we are looking into getting a couple of hogs this year as well.
