PA Livestock Auctions - Open to General Public?Submitted by luc9010 on January 26, 2008 - 11:02pm.
I'm thinking about getting a few goats. Are the Pennsylvania livestock auctions open to the general public? (i.e. Belknap, Belleville, Eighty-four, Greencastle, Indiana, Lancaster, Lebanon Valley, New Holland) I'd hate to drive all the way out there to find out they're only for wholesalers. Thanks.

Hi! I know that the one Pa livestock auction held in greene county is open to the public, but I would personally avoid them, they are places for farmers to dump off their 'sick' animals. I'd go for a breeder of goats instead of chancing the livestock auctions. |
