Receipts: 1225 Last Month: 855 Last Year: 593

Compared to last month, slaughter lambs sold steady to 4.00 higher on active
trading. Slaughter ewes traded 10.00 lower. Market kid goats over 45 lbs
traded 15.00 to 25.00 higher, with instances 28.00 higher; under 45 lbs sold
10.00 to 20.00 lower. Slaughter nannies 5.00 to 8.00 lower. Order buyers are
filling up orders before the approaching Easter Holiday. Supply included near
40 percent sheep and 60 percent goats. Prices quoted per cwt unless otherwise
noted. Note: The Sheep and Goat Auction is held the 2nd Thursday of each
Month, start time is at 6:00 p.m.

light. Sheep made up approximately 35 percent of the offering, 65 percent

based on in-weights at the buying station. Next scheduled market date will be
Saturday March 27th. The station will be open to accept goats from 9:00 a.m.

AFTERNOON NATIONAL SLAUGHTER CATTLE REVIEW- Wednesday Mar 17, 2010. Thus far
for Wednesday trading, in the Southern and Northern Plains, has been at a
standstill. In the Western Cornbelt very limited trading on very light demand
has occurred. Not enough traded, negotiated cash, sales for a market trend.
Last week, in the Texas Panhandle, live sales sold from 94.00-95.00, mostly
95.00. In Kansas live sales sold at 94.00 and dressed sales sold at 148.00.
For the prior week, in Nebraska, dressed sales ranged from 146.00-148.00 and
