Making Money with Goats.

In my oppinion to make money with goats you need to diverisify. I personally raise dairy and meat breeds.Registered and non. I also do crosses. Dairy breeds provide kids for replacements for breeding, packing, showing and the crosses are good for meat.Dairy goats also produce milk to sell or make cheese and soap from and clear pastures for you. Meat breeds of course sell well to put food on the table, breeding replacements and also are good for clearing pastures. So many people get caught up in the show world and want way too much money for the animals. That is ok if you have it but a lots of folks just want some good backyard animals so I really believe in having an assortment of quality and prices available. There are also fiber goats but I don't have any experience with them.
I believe you need to have a website in this day and age to help advertise your animals. Sites are very cheap and easy to do. If you need advice just send me an email. Also tell everyone you know that you raise goats and put a sign in your driveway. We sell a lot of animals to dairies. That is another way to go.
Proper management is key to having healthy aand productive animals. Fresh water, browse, free choice minerals, hoof care and cleanliness are just a few of the things you should be doing.

Boers and crosses are a good breed. I personally made more money selling dairy goats to dairies for milkers. I don't know where you are located?
