Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 500 lbs 3.00-6.00 higher, over 500
lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs 4.00-8.00 higher, over
500 lbs 3.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to firm. Replacement
cows and cow/calf pairs steady to firm. Trade and demand good. Bulk supply
Medium and Large 1-2 300-600 lb feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made
up 10 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 5 percent, replacement cows 5
percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply included 53 percent steers
and 47 percent heifers. Near 28 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
