Weekly Utah Hay Market Report
Utah Hay prices continue steady, with slow to moderate trade. Trading was
slow to moderate on Dairy quality hay. Lower quality hay demand is mixed,
but light supplies. Confirmed sales on baled 3,140 tons. Cube prices strong on
top quality export cubes. Trade moderate with demand moderate on top quality
export cubes. Confirmed sales 1,575 tons. Guidelines for Alfalfa Hay: Visual exam
and intent of sale; Relative Feed Value (RFV); Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF);
Crude Protein (CP). USDA Grades are based on 100% Dry Matter Content.
All prices are in dollars per ton, FOB at stack, unless otherwise
noted. Bales large and small. Cubes all sales FOB slab, unless
noted.
