Compared to last week: Due to holidays, trade slow, very little hay
left to sale. All prices FOB the stack per ton for current delivery
unless otherwise stated.

Western Area:

Alfalfa: Good to Premium quality 3x4x8 bales 120.00-145.00, Utility to Good
3x4x8 bales 100.00-120.00.

Orchard: Premium quality grass small squares 135.00-145.00.

Timothy: Premium quality small squares 180.00-200.00.

Central Area:

Alfalfa: Premium large squares 130-145.00, Good large squares 115.00-130.00,
Fair large squares 100.00-110.00.

Alfalfa/orchard mix: Good quality small squares 130.00-140.00.

Timothy grass: Premium quality small squares 200.00.

Compared to last week, Premium and Supreme Alfalfa steady to firm in limited
test. Demand moderate to good and supply light. Fair Alfalfa steady to firm.
Demand moderate to good and supply light to moderate. Retail and stable hay
steady with some increase for grass hay. Demand moderate to good and supply
light, especially grass hay. Good movement of previously sold hay. Most
supplies of hay sold or spoken for. There are some producers in negotiation now
for their 2007 hay crop. Most areas fairly open with not much snow cover. Cold
weather expected the end of this week.
