Missouri Weekly Hay Summary - Week ending 10/10/2008

Farmers around the state continue to bale fall hay. Some farmers have
now taken three cuttings off some fescue fields which is unheard of in
Missouri. Hay movement remains slow at the current time. Outside pressures
from the economy and eroding grain markets applying significant pressure
on hay prices. Hay prices steady to weak. The supply is moderate to heavy
and demand is light to moderate. The Missouri Department of Agriculture
