Southeast Weekly Hay Report

Movement and demand for hay and mulch has been light to moderate.
Prices are steady. Growth and harvesting of Summer grasses has been
inconsistent due to sporadic rainfall. Supplemental feeding is
occurring in dry areas where pastures have been over grazed.
Hay quoted is by the bale FOB producer barn unless otherwise stated.
Approximate bale weights: Small Square 55 pounds; Small Round 1000
pounds; Large Rounds 1500 pounds.
