I am looking for some farmer cooperators in the Central Kansas area to test pre-commercial corn hybrids for a major seed company. The farmer will get 20k seed bags for each hybrid to plant at least 4 rows wide x 500 ft long plots for each hybrid (I can provide two 20K bags for each hybrid if required). The farmer will plant these hybrids with the rest of his corn and take care of them as his own corn. During the crop season, I will take notes on these hybrids, and at the time of harvest I will bring my weigh wagon to take the yield data. The farmer will keep the grain.

Depending on the location, I can test the hybrids at your farm that best fits your maturity requirements. Each set will have about 20-25 hybrids. Most of these hybrids are roundup ready but there will be a few that are conventional. So the cooperator will have to use herbicides other than Roundup on those few non roundup ready hybrids.

As a compensation for your cooperation, I can either give you 40 gallons of Roundup or 6 bags of our new hybrids with the SmartStax trait (80k bags). If you are interested in becoming a cooperator, please contact me!
