Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady, except over 500 lbs 2.00 higher.
Feeder heifers 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Trade and demand
very active on all classes. Bulk supply Medium and Large 1-2 350-700 lb feeder
steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made up 14 percent of the offering,
slaughter bulls 4 percent, replacement cows 9 percent, and feeders 73 percent.
The feeder supply included 49 percent steers and 51 percent heifers. Near 11
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Steers: Medium and Large 1: 300-400 lbs 132.50-140.00; 400-500 lbs 125.00-
131.00; 500-600 lbs 115.00-120.00; 600-700 lbs 110.00-116.00, few 118.00; few
700-800 lbs 100.00-106.00.
Medium and Large 2: few 300-400 lbs 127.00-135.00; 400-500 lbs 121.00-125.00;
500-600 lbs 111.00-116.00; 600-700 lbs 105.00-111.00; few 700-800 lbs 94.00.
