Sharp LC-20S4US 20-Inch LCD TV

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - EXCELLENT TV! Our 3rd one!!
We have a 15" Sharp Aquos we bought almost 2 years ago in our kitchen and a 20" installed on our patio. My parents liked it so much they had me order them one which is now installed on their patio. The reputation of Sharp is great the picture quality of these TV's is excellent! You won't be sorry.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfection
Cannot say enough good things about this Aquos TV. It's just superior in all areas, and the price has come down as well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AWESOME
This tv is SOOO cool! I love it! We did tons of research before buying a flat screen for the bedroom. This tv had awesome reviews and now I see why. The cheapest I found it elsewhere was $700 and it was only $500 here with free shipping. You CANNOT beat that!
The remote is a little weird, but you get used to it. It has about 6 different brightness settings so when I am falling asleep my husband can make it dimmer and I can pass out while he still watches it. LOVE IT

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent small LCD TV
Very satisfied with the picture and compactness (below picture speakers). DVD picture clarity and sharpness is fantastic. However, mostly used as an alternate TV for watching analog cable. Very good picture quality with regular cable which is one of the major factors for deciding on this Sharp TV (some other LCD TVs do great with HD but appear sloppy with standard analog).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Perfect For Our Needs
For nearly 10 months we had a 15" Sharp Aquos LCD TV sitting on a countertop in our dinning room. The speakers were on the sides of the display screen, so it made the television fairly wide, even though it had a 4:3 aspect ratio picture. The picture quality was great, but the sound was barely adequate. When music played during introductions to our favorite sitcoms (and during commercials), there was noticeable distortion to the sound. My wife and I decided to pursue a slightly larger LCD set, which we could mount on the wall, which would hopefully have better audio quality. We also wanted a TV which had speakers below the display screen, so that it would not be so wide. After doing a fair amount of research on the Net, we discovered the Sharp LC-20S4US, 20" LCD TV. It seemed to fit the bill; sporting a decent sized video image for our dinning room, it had speakers UNDER the display, and it weighed only 14 lbs. We couldn't find any local retailers that carried this model any longer, and finally found it here at Amazon. The price was fair, and the shipping was fast! The box arrived in perfect condition, and I was able to easily mount the set on the wall in less than half an hour (with an OmniMount CL-S Wishbone Cantilever arm). Only a few minor adjustments were needed to get the audio and video looking and sounding wonderful. The picture on this set is nice and bright, with fairly impressive contrast and color overall, considering it is not a high def set. What really made us happy was the sound. The audio offers about twice the quality of our smaller LCD TV, with no noticeable distortion, even at fairly high volume levels (we have three young children who make enough noise to warrant substantial volume from the TV). Flat panel TV speakers are always a little shallow in tone quality, but this set really makes an impressive effort. We have a coax cable coming from our satellite tunner going into the TV, and we are using component video cables coming from a DVD/VCR combo. The DVD images look a bit sharper than the basic satellite signal (surely due to the component connection to the combo unit), but even the basic TV shows look very nice for a dinning room environment. Although this TV would be a bit small for a large room, and the video and audio quality would certainly not be adequate for entertaining guests, I would highly recommend this set for anyone who desires a moderately priced LCD for a bedroom or dinning room, which is looking for above average video and audio quality, and who does not require high definition or a wide 16:9 aspect ratio. There are higher quality sets out there, which also carry a higher price tag, but for the money I think this LCD TV is one of the better bargains available today. =o)
