to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream outlets. Non-
Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of what would
be termed as traditional markets. ***
Sheep and Lambs: Compared to last Monday, a heavy supply of slaughter lambs
sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower, lambs weighing heavier than 90 lbs sold mostly 8.00
lower on less attractive offerings. Slaughter ewes sold 6.00 to 8.00 higher.
Demand moderate with moderate trade. Slaughter supply consisted of 76 percent
lambs, 20 percent slaughter ewes, and 4 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep
and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold
by the hundred weight, on actual weights.

60-80 lbs 150.00-170.00; 80-90 lbs 144.00-156.00; 90-110 lbs 136.00-150.00; 110-
130 lbs 126.00-140.00. Wooled & Shorn Choice 2-3 40-60 lbs 134.00-158.00; 60-80
lbs 130.00-144.00; 80-90 lbs 124.00-138.00; 90-110 lbs 118.00-130.00.
Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3: Medium Flesh 120-160 lbs 70.00-84.00; 160-200 lbs
68.00-78.00. Slaughter Ewes Utility 1-2: Thin Fleshed 120-160 lbs 56.00-68.00;
160-200 lbs 47.00-58.00.
Slaughter Goats: Compared to last Monday, slaughter kids sold 2.00 to 4.00
lower with exception of kids weighing over 80 lbs trending steady to firm.
Slaughter nannies sold mostly 3.00 lower. Slaughter billies sold 5.00 to 7.00
lower. Demand varied throughout the sale, trade moderate to slow. Goat supply
consisted of 69 percent slaughter kids, 22 percent slaughter nannies, 7 percent
slaughter billies, remainder miscellaneous stock. All goats are sold by the
head, on estimated weights.
Slaughter Kids: Selection 1 40-60 lbs 75.00-88.00; 60-80 lbs 80.00-
110.00; 80-100 lbs 98.00-122.00; 100-110 lbs 114.00-122.00. Selection 2 40-60
lbs 60.00-80.00; 60-80 lbs 76.00-92.00; 80-100 lbs 86.00-102.00. Selection 3
40-60 lbs 42.00-58.00; 60-70 lbs 50.00-65.00.
Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 80-130 lbs 88.00-104.00; 130-180 lbs
108.00-122.00. Selection 2 80-130 lbs 78.00-94.00. Selection 3 50-80 lbs
50.00-60.00.
Slaughter Bucks/Billies: Selection 1 100-150 lbs 140.00-154.00; 150-250 lbs
