I was disappointed by how they looked upon actual inspection -- they look so big in relation to your foot size (even if they fit your foot perfectly) and the colors aren't as pretty as pictured. But they're not ugly.

What primarily attracted me to these FitFlops is the promise of the workout. It's supposed to trim your legs, increase *gluteal* muscle response, improve your balance and posture, burn calories... Not sure about all those claims, but I guarantee it will make your calves sore if you use them the entire day the first time you try them. Wear them "progressively" they warn, because your muscles need to get used to the new way they are being exercised while you walk.

They are comfortable for casual use -- the soles are thick and the material has the right balance of softness / firmness. I wouldn't recommend them as a fashion item, but they're definitely an improvement over rubber flip-flops.
